Respond to the following in a minimum of 100 words:
I work for an organization that offers a reduction in medical coverage premium by completing levels of activities. Employees have 8 months to complete the various levels. I believe that it is appropriate for an employer to encourage employees to complete activities both during work hours and while off the clock. Its a win win for both employer and employee. The employer saves money if employees maintain a healthy lifestyle and the employee also benefits by living a healthy lifestyle. Employees who maintain a healthy lifestyle physically, emotionally and mentally tend to be more productive and have less sick days. The activities offered should allow employees to work on all three parts of their health (physical, mental, emotional). If an employee opts not to participate in activities then the employee will not reap the benefits of saving on medical coverage premium. I do not see this as a punishment. Not all activities need to be completed after work hours. In my experience, many employees participate in this reward program because saving money is a motivator.
