Respond to the following post by:

  • Demonstrating basic consultation skills (e.g., empathy, validation, positive regard, etc.).
  • Utilizing open-ended questions and perception checking
  • Engaging in collaborative solution development with your consultee regarding their identified areas for growth and/or areas for strengthening their portfolio
  • Clarifying what your consultee would find helpful from you and respond to the consultee's needs.

This week, I am seeking consultation on my social change portfolio. Dr. Baratelli has given me feedback on my citations and appropriately citing sources, which was very helpful. One area I want feedback on is the diversity and ethical considerations section. I am confused about how to apply the ACA Code of Ethics to prevention and would like to gain a deeper understanding of ethical considerations. I would like an example from one of my colleagues on how this could apply to my population. I am also curious if the flow of my paper is clear and concise. As I proofread and made edits, I found it somewhat redundant and would like feedback in this area. Looking forward to hearing from you.
