Employability is the ability to gain initial employment, maintain employment, and obtain new employment if required. My top three employment goals are earning a management position, improving communication skills, and increasing overall knowledge.

Achieving a management position has been a personal employable goal for many years. I see it as a tremendous opportunity to have an influence on company culture and the opportunity to advance in my professional career. One of the requirements in management is managing different employees by offering them a variety of tasks and verifying that they do it correctly. As a leader, I will be responsible for ensuring that the culture remains positive, with all team members working as a team. In addition, it helps attract and retain talented employees as the positive culture spreads throughout the public. Overall, having the opportunity to lead a positive company culture will align with my employable goals in a managerial role (Editorial Team , 2023).

Also, being in a managerial role opens the opportunity for an executive role as a commissioner or director. The qualification most employers look for when serving an executive role is previous experience in a managerial role. Furthermore, the experience Is highly beneficial and helps build connections with other leaders in the different organizations.

Communication skills are something that always has room for improvement. It is an important skill, as most employers require it to function at a high level. Communication improves productivity and eliminates fewer conflicts in the organization. Effective communication helps team members understand their roles and duties in an organization. Managers who can provide the necessary details to their employees and are willing to answer any questions tend to boost employee productivity. It makes it easier when an employee understands what they are doing to set it as the main target. Also, with constant communication with team members, everyone understands what the next person is doing. It eliminates someone performing the duties of another individual (Editorial Team , 2023).

Lastly, increasing my overall knowledge is a key aspect of being employable. For example, if I am interested in working in human resources. It would be necessary that I constantly improve my knowledge of recruiting, interviewing, selection, and labor laws. The more knowledge I gain in human resources will make my job easier and open opportunities to grow in human resources.

Selecting employability goals is a crucial step in career development. It requires a thoughtful consideration of one's skills, aspirations, and the evolving job market. Among the various practical strategies employees adopt to enhance their employability, I have chosen my top three goals: accomplishing a leadership role or earning a management position, improving communication skills, and increasing overall knowledge. Secondly, improving communication skills is essential for career success in almost any field. Effective communication is crucial for conveying ideas, collaborating with colleagues, and building strong professional relationships. It enhances my ability to convey complex information clearly, resolve conflicts, and lead teams effectively (Beebe & Mottet, 2019).

Lastly, increasing overall knowledge is a fundamental goal for personal and professional growth. In today's knowledge-driven economy, staying updated with industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices is vital (Drucker, 1993). Continuous learning not only boosts employability but also fosters adaptability and resilience in an evolving job market.

In conclusion, my chosen employability goals - attaining a leadership role, enhancing communication skills, and increasing knowledge - stem from my career aspirations, the value of these skills in the job market, and my desire for personal and professional growth. These goals align with the practical strategies employees adopt to enhance their employability and contribute to a fulfilling and successful career.
