Respond to the following students.

Student 1: In this week's discussion, I decided to do compassion. I consider myself a passionate person, however I tend to lack compassion in certain situations. For example. when dealing with parents, I do not have much patience and/or compassion for them. I must realize that we are all human and go through things. Adults need compassion too.

Student 2: An ethics code that would be challenging for myself would have to be receiving/giving gifts. As a current RBT, I often times struggle with this. During the holiday's, many clients want to give you gift cards and small gifts for all the work that has been provided. During these times, I tell my clients and their caregivers I would really appreciate hand written cards or notes.

Student 3: There are several behaviors that humans display that can be considered as compassion. Depending on what a person is comfortable with, these can be hugging, providing verbal support, and emphasizing with a person. As behavior analysts and/or registered behavior technicians, we can show compassion to our clients by providing them with multiple breaks if we see our clients are tired/struggling with content.
