Respond to this discussion, I enjoyed learning a little about each job and their role. The first was the Foster Care Case Manager. The Foster Care Case Manager works to help keep kids safe and make sure their needs are being met. The case manager mentioned that kids need an advocate for them and I agree 100%. The case manager also mentioned that you are not alway involved that long since your goal is getting them home, preferably with a parent and safe. The second job was the Child ProtectiveInvestigators. Their role sounds super tough but also very important. Their biggest challenge is making sure kids are kept safe from any type of abuse and/or neglect. Their role is to find out what a family needs to be able to remain together in a safe and loving environment. She mentions that you must be organized and be able to multi task due to the massive workload you have as a child protective investigator. The third job was the FBI Child Forensic Interviewer.
