With a growing plastic problem, research and policy is essential to helping solve this everyday growing problem. One of the long-term solutions that we can utilize is attempting to use more reusable glass items for our everyday products, along with attempting to reuse plastic as much as we can. Instead of tossing it, we can attempt to reuse and recycle as well. This in turn can help us to utilize less plastic waste and ensure that we have a future filled with less plastic covering our earth and oceans
