respond to this disussion post What struck out to be particularly unfair about age discrimination in Roscigno's article, is that companies and employer's will often replace older workers with younger ones. They do this in order to save money and invest, but it seems very unethical considering these older workers may have helped generate money for them for years. And to think that this same situation may occur to the younger workers when they grow older is deeply unsettling and unfair. I believe age discrimination is on par with other forms of discrimination. Whether it be younger workers who are ridiculed and seen as incompetent or older workers who are laid off unfairly and are deemed as unreliable, age discrimination has its own drawbacks and can affect the livelihood of an individual
