Respond to two peers whom you learned from and reply to their post letting them know what your takeaway was.

Paige Berry:

1. No, I do not currently take any dietary supplements. I have never found the need to take one. But I also do not know a lot about them and their benefits.

2. No, I honestly didn't know much about supplements or how they were regulated. I had always assumed that supplements marketed towards weight loss or burning fat didn't have a lot of regulations or standards, but I didn't think all supplements were so poorly regulated. This was surprising to learn in the articles that I read.

3. After reading these articles I am concerned about the things that people are unknowingly putting in their bodies thinking they are "natural" and healthy for them. I know a lot of people that swear by taking echinacea pills to help fight a cold as a natural and safe remedy. After reading the herbal supplements article I was shocked to learn that they are additional weeds/plants in those pills that are linked to nausea and rashes. I am concerned that people see words like "herb", "supplement", and "natural" and don't stop to do any further research before taking a pill. There are very lose regulations on these items and people could be ingesting harmful substances without even knowing it.

Gracie Johnson:

1. I do not currently take a dietary supplement or ever plan to in the future. I have really been watching what I put into by body, whether that be a medication, vitamin, or even food and drinks. Since I have been on a diet of having no gluten and dairy in my life, my health has improved so much. Exercising also helps me as well. With that, I don't think that it is necessary for me to take a dietary supplement.

2. I feel like I knew most of these products were not the best for me, but after reading the articles, I got a lot more information about dietary supplements.

3. Some concerns I had after reading the articles were the health risks. I am allergic to a lot of things, and they can be hazardous to those with allergies.
