The problem/issue I discussed on the Unit 1 discussion board was the high death rate in lung cancer patients. Last week I did my research on a couple of websites online. This week I researched on Westlaw and on Factcase. The results did not differ from what I found searching online last week. I did learn some news things about lung cancer from reading the articles in the new databases. This was a good learning experience that taught me that it is good to research in multiple places to learn as much as you can. Both databases were user friendly but I was able to find an article that had the most relevant information to me quicker on Factcase. Online legal encyclopedias and law dictionaries can also be helpful with legal research. To me the word data base means one spot you can for to that contains all of the information you are looking for. On a legal data base you can look up legal opinions. You can search by date or by party name.
