At my current workplace, I've had a different experience with micromanaging, primarily from individuals who aren't my supervisor. With my job, there can be many "gray areas" when providing client-centered services, meaning there are multiple ways to get to the same place. Micromanaging from these individuals is more about pushing their preferences on me than helping me. While I know it is not always in bad faith, it can affect how I move forward in certain circumstances. Being micromanaged by someone not my manager, is frustrating and makes me feel like my coworkers do not trust my work. It has often led to confusion and a lack of clarity about policies, best practices, and what is expected of you. In these circumstances, it is essential to communicate openly with the person about how their behavior affects you and work towards finding a solution for both parties. I have spoken with my direct supervisor about it, and it has been addressed. It isn't perfect, but it is definitely better than before
