respond too I have had the unfortunate experience of working under a micromanager. She literally sucked the life out of her employees and the overall team morale. So many really great employees left the organization as a result. This manager did not trust any of her employees. She wanted to be copied on all emails, checked reports daily, wanted all our calendars updated with every task we did and monitored our calls. So many of us went to HR to complain about the treatment we received. She would belittle people in meetings and deny time off requests if she felt we were not up to her standards. It was the most awful feeling to not be supported by your manager. I felt like I was always looking over my shoulder. The stress of working for this manager eventually took a toll on my physical and mental health. I did eventually go to HR but that backfired because this woman then retaliated against my by writing me up. I was never so upset. I worked my butt off to get off that write up and keep my job. Thankfully, I did keep my job and am still employed there today. This
