-Daniel Bachman starts off this article by telling the readers, "If you're looking toward economic data for clarity on the state of the US economy, rest assured you won't find it there" (Daniel, Bachman). I think what what Daniel means by this is that is from a news/media outlook on the economic growth it changes almost everyday. Some days we see that gas prices are dropping and things are going good and some days we are told that recession is possible with more news about inflation. In this article he tells us that the possibility for recession in the second half of 2022 is possible. "Economic growth is slowing, but the economy continues to grow in the second half of 2022"(Daniel, Bachman). He goes on to explain how the general population continues to pay for travel expenses, entertainment, and business opportunities. One thing that Daniel mentions in the article is, "Millennials are moving into prime home-buying age"(Daniel, Bachman). I think he is right to say that except for the fact that most of us millennials can not afford a house like people could 20 years ago. Just 20 years ago the average income in America was 45,000 with the average house costing 180k. Now the average house cost 400k while our average pay is 60k. I am in the military and my wife works and we still can not afford to buy a home that can fit our family and do not know if we will every be able to. Basically things are going to slowly get worse for our economy. People will start to spend the money they saved during the pandemic and after that we will eventually go into recession. I think America needs a leader that will make the necessary changes we need to make America the greatest country in the world. I believe we have along way to go but our first step would stop letting people that should be in a nursing home run our country. We have many young brilliant Americans that could make a huge impact on our economy and overall growth as a country.
