It discusses how diversity in the workforce can build a space for more innovation, creativity, and problem-solving by bringing together individuals with different experiences, and backgrounds. The article highlights the positive impact of cultural diversity on employee engagement, retention, and overall organizational performance. Reference to Course Material: This article relates to the concept of cultural diversity in organizational communication, as discussed in our textbook, " In most cases, heterogeneous groups performed the same or better than the homogeneous groups on various group tasks (Shaw, 1981). The general explanation for these results is that more heterogeneous groups are more likely to have the diversity of information and skills needed to be effective; whereas homogenous groups have more limited variety and so may be less effective.\" (Kramer, M.W.; Bisel, R.S. 2021).
