Restorative Justice movement has received attention in the last couple of years due to ethical and legal misconduct of our entire criminal justice system. Your assignment is to complete the following:

• Provide a summary of restorative justice movement,
• Explain the positive and negative aspects of the model,
• What type of programs in North Carolina are offered under a restorative justice approach and summarize the benefits of each program (ensure to select at least 2 programs - the programs can be for adults or juveniles),
• Do you see potential negative impacts of any of the above programs that you named and if so, explain those negative impacts, and
• What is your overall impression of restorative justice? Do you think it has a place in the correctional system? Are there other areas within the criminal justice system you think it could be beneficial?
