Assignment End Products: Part 1 - MAKE a 2-3 page summary of your research that you conducted that showcases the information that was found and that informed your team's decision on what services and amenities will be offered in the new retirement community that you are building and will be operating. Requirements for this Research Summary include: Clear demonstration in your research findings that you know the current Canadian market - the different existing retirement community companies and the types of service or amenities they offer. Clear connection between what the current Canadian market offers and what your team would like to include in your property's service offerings and amenities that would meet your targeted audience's needs and preferences and standout from the competitors. Clear demonstration in your research findings that you know the local community in which your property will be located (i.e., city, town, province/territory in which you chose to build your new property) in particular, the local culture, shops, services, landmarks and more. Clear connection in your research findings as to what would make your retirement community attractive to your targeted audience based on the location you chose. Clear demonstration in your research findings of the needs and preferences of your targeted audience (i.e., chosen demographics). Reference List and appropriate in-text citations, using APA format Remember - think about the retirement community that your team would like to MAKE and build. What are all the departments, team members, and other considerations you need to keep in mind in order to run your business successfully? These considerations could be drawn from what you learned in this course or other courses that you have previously studied. Part 2 - MAKE 2-page marketing flyer, OR, video presentation promoting your new community to your targeted audience/market. Requirements for the Marketing Flyer include: Flyer can be double sided 8.5x11 sheet or a tri-fold pamphlet of the same size. Flyer should be professional using appropriate graphics and including information to attract your chosen audience/targeted market and their family. Requirement for the Video Presentation include: At least two members of your group must be part of the video. Presentations could be like a commercial or in the format of a presentation that you would give to a group of prospective residents/interested seniors. Key Points to Remember and Include in Your Marketing Campaign: It is important that you demonstrate what you've learned about what a certain kind of retirement communities must offer, and what facilities/services are needed to attract your targeted market. Make sure your flyer/video makes it clear that you understand the connection between your facilities/services and your prospective customers (i.e., seniors). Whether you choose the flyer or the video presentation, it is important that the visual element will attract attention while you are providing adequate information about what the community offers - balance is important.
