Course Objectives (COs) define the learning objectives that the student will be required to demonstrate by course completion.

1. Demonstrate an understanding of total quality management (TQM) and how it can be used to achieve the strategic business objectives of a company in today's competitive business environments.
2. Compare how trust, values, integrity, and responsibility affect quality, and how employee empowerment and involvement affect total quality management.
3. Identify, assess, and apply the appropriate TQM tools and problem solving approaches to making an effective decision in a TQM operation.
4. Evaluate and assess the most appropriate tool, approach, or methodology to evaluate, improve, and measure process improvement.
5. Analyze how leadership, teamwork, and change management impact the implementation of total quality management (TQM).
