Review the following case study, and discuss how you would present your information and concerns to the parent involved.

Case Study 1

Rhanda came to your centre at the age of 3 months. She was a very easygoing child who demanded little attention. As she grew older, she was quite content amusing herself with toys and activity centres and with watching the other children play. You noticed that she was usually the last child in the playgroup to achieve milestones, such as rolling over or sitting up, but she still did progress. Over time, more things became noticeable. At 16 months, she was just beginning to walk, relying far more on crawling. She seemed to be quieter and not playing with sounds and words as much as she used to. Sometimes, it seemed as if she didn't hear people calling her or was oblivious to noises in the room.
