ReviewChicago Data below (towards the end of the question) Read "The Nielsen Frozen Orange Juice Data" (follows). For the Sunshine Valley data, help me create new variable SVAVPR, which is the weekly average price. Clearly this equals the total revenue dollars (SV$) divided by total units sold (SVE) for each week.

2. Use Excel's Chart Wizard to help me to create an appropriately labeled Scatterplot of units sold (SVE) versus weekly average price (SVAVPR) for Sunshine Valley (i.e., with SVE on the Y-axis and SVAVPR on the X-axis). "Right-click" on any of the data points and insert a linear trend line.

3. Estimate a linear demand function for the Sunshine Valley brand by calculating the simple regression ofof units sold (SVE) on weekly average price (SVAVPR). Include the following:

a. The regression output.

b. A plot of the residual values as a function of weekly average price.

c. A calculation of the estimate of the demand for the Sunshine Valley brand at prices of $25, $30, and $35.

THE NIELSEN FROZEN ORANGE JUICE DATA

The "orange juice" data set is data on the sales of frozen orange juice concentrate collected from supermarket scanner records throughout the Chicago area. The data was collected by Nielsen Marketing Research Corp., and kindly supplied to us by Dr. John Totten. The data has been extracted from a more extensive data set covering the sales of a number of brands and sizes of frozen orange juice weekly over a two-year period.

The Nielsen software organizes all scanner data in terms of four dimensions: markets (including both cities and supermarket chains), products (brand/size combinations), "facts" (to be explained below), and time periods. The complete frozen concentrated orange juice data set contains 97 facts for 7 products in 5 markets for 2 years. The substantially reduced version of this data that you will be working with contains 2 facts in one market (Chicago) for 2 years (104 weeks), and is contained below (Chicago data below) . The two facts are for a single product ("Sunshine Valley" orange juice).
