Rewrite In 1961 the Bruner Discovery Learning Theory was developed by American Psychologist, Jerome Bruner. The Discovery Learning Theory states that a learner can develop new knowledge based off of their current knowledge (Johnson, 2005). Bruner believed that learners should be able to take ownership in their learning by applying prior knowledge to a topic to construct new findings (Upham et al., 2014). Not only will learners apply what they already know but it enhances the chance of the information to be retained easier. This learning theory is typically used during problem-solving scenarios where learners add on to their knowledge founded on past experiences. The learner's past knowledge helps develop new information. Having prior knowledge and experience on this topic and learning more about it daily is a great advantage; however, with endless money I would like to further my knowledge on sex trafficking victims and what they need to regain a stable life back.
