Within this strategy there are meetings held on a regular basis to go over what crime is happening the most at that time and how they are going to combat it. It has been said that Compstat has instilled a sense of empowerment to agencies to focus on identifying problems and how to strategically solve them. This strategy was helpful and successful in the NYPD because they were able to use statistics and crime indicators coupled with a decentralized organizational model which promoted community policing and problem solving. Intelligence-led policing is (ILP) is a process where the agency uses analyzed data from multi-jurisdictions on crime threats, pathways to help solve crime problems, and relies on proactive information sharing between with the agency and other law enforcement agencies (Bureau of Justice Assistance, 2013). Doing this helps maximize law enforcement personnel who can identify the indication of threats and act to intervene. I think that collaboration with other agencies should be retained as policing evolves because one agency could be dealing with a crime spear another agency may have information due to having dealt with a crime spe
