Ricardo has only one bank account, a chequing account into which all of his money goes, and where it remains. He has no savings account or investments. He uses a credit card for all of his purchases so that he can earn travel rewards, none of which he has ever used. He asked his bank to set up an automatic payment from his chequing account to his credit card every month so that he wouldn't miss the payment since he shreds his statement the minute he receives it without opening it because it makes him anxious to see the amount of money he owes.
