Richard went to an antique furniture dealer in Fyshwick and told the dealer he wanted a ten-person authentic elegant antique dining table and chair set, with gold trim edging on the table, knowing however that real gold would be over his budget. He told the dealer that he has a lot of family visits these days, including mischievous grandchildren under 5 years old. The dealer recommended a dining set made from imported mahogany wood with gold trim edging on the table, which cost only $2,700, and the dealer showed Richard the dining set on display in the store. The dealer clarified with Richard that the trim was not real gold metal, but that few people would know the difference, as the trim was painted on using water-based paint. Richard loved the look and feel of the dining set and bought the display dining set, as the dealer was also offering free delivery on the display set. A few weeks later Richard had a formal dinner party, everyone commented on the beautiful dining set. At the party, some of the gold from the trim marked the jacket of one of the guests. A guest had accidentally knocked over a glass of water on the table, which spilled over the table edge and onto the floor, smudging the gold trim. Richard would now like to return the dining set.
