Rick Grimes, a small town sheriff, began a series of professional and business relationships with various individuals in his small town in rural Kentucky. Rick, is an avid "prepper" who believes that civilization is going to come to a grinding halt through a manmade disaster. Being a savvy business man he plans to capitalize on his beliefs by creating a series of businesses designed to sell products for the end of civilization.

Being ever cautious of the government, Rick wants to keep everything within in the law and meets his trusted attorneys at the law firm of Facmee & Diaz. During his meeting with Ronnie Facmee and Jose Diaz Rick he is asked to sign a Retainer Agreement, Lawyer/Client Services Agreement, and a Power of Attorney. After receiving "solid" advice Rick leaves feeling confident his businesses will be successful.

Rick decides he needs someone to "spread the word" about his business and decides to hire Andrea, an out of work human rights attorney, and Bucephelus, a slightly retarded mountain man, as his PR team. Rick tasks Andrea and Bucephelus with setting up advertisements, contacting local media outlets for advertising, and selling "prepper" products to local people. They do not enter into a contractual agreement.

Assume that Shane, Rick's best friend, hears of Rick's new business and is excited for his friend. While traveling Shane runs into a man with a stockpile of MRE's from the 1970's and assault rifles. Knowing Rick would purchase the goods he enters into a contract with the man on Rick's behalf for $546,000.00. When Rick hears of the deal he is a little annoyed Shane did not first contact him, but knows it is a good deal and accepts the deal completely. Shortly, after accepting the deal Rick contracts a rare rabies like disease and becomes a zombie.
