Right now there are 1.5 surgeons, 2 ASR's, 2 RN's and 1 CA to handle the cases with the time spent for each case listed. It doesn't say how many cases they already see. If a surgeon sees a person for a plagiocephaly, he would spend 18 min., the ASR would only spend 8 minutes, an RN would spend 23 minutes, and a CA would spend 5 minutes. At the bottom is the information given to us. I figured the available minutes per day and per year, but I computed it for 1 person. I also figured the capacity cost rate. I didn't know what to do with the 1.5 surgeons, 2 ASR's, 2 RN's, and 1 CA. I guess if there is 1.5 surgeons, and 1 surgeon has 528 minutes available a day, 1.5 surgeons would be 792 minutes available a day. It doesn't say how many cases they see a day. I figured there was so ratio, but not sure. So off of this information, we have to figure question #2 listed below.

2.)The office currently has the following full-time equivalents (FTEs): 1.5 surgeons, 2 ASRs, 2RNs, and 1 CA. Suppose that in the following year, the office will have 5,400 plagiocephaly visits, 2,000 neoplasm visits, and 800 craniosynostosis visits. a.) How many Full time equivalents of each staff type will the practice need to handle this volume and mixof patient visits? b.) Using the capacity cost rates you developed in part 2 of requirement (a), what is the total TDABC of this new staffing level?

c.)What is the quantity of the unused capacity with your staffing recommendation?
