The Rightway worksheets contains the results of a pilot survey of customer satisfaction. Four stores were involved in the pilot survey. For each month Jan-Jun and for each store, 50 randomly chosen customers were surveyed, making 24 surveys in all. Satisfaction is measured on a scale of 0-10 with 10 being best. Management have decided that they want to target an underlying mean satisfaction of 7.5
- The worksheet has all the results in stacked form. Use Pivotables to report the mean score for all 24 surveys. Arrange the table with four rows (for each store) and 6 columns (for each month). Also, colour code any mean that is below the target benchmark of 7.5 in RED.
- In ws Store 4 which gives the results of the six surveys for store 4 only. Use ordinary Excel to calculate the mean and the standard deviation of each survey. Each mean is an average of n=50 responses. Therefore you can calculate the standard errors of each mean using the key formula for the chapter.
