Robotic Process Animation or RPA can significantly impact the accounting world, but not negatively. With RPA in place, accountants can simplify their work by allowing the mundane tasks of the "crunching" numbers to be completed with RPA and allow for quicker processes. Within any accounting department, there are a lot of numbers and reports to be compiled up and it makes it easier to allow for RPA to run them so the accountants are able to work on the more detailed work required. At my current place of employment, there is a push to move towards automation to allow for the employees to focus more of their time on other projects and filings. To verify data there needs to be an analysis completed and with RPA this makes the task run smoother and more effectively. The data will be able to be analyzed with the parameters in place to ensure the accuracy. RPA within the accounting world is just beginning, but can have a significant impact on the future of accounting.
