She agreed to pay $5000 for the automobile pursuant to an agreement whereby she agreed to pay $1000 as a down payment and $400 a month thereafter for ten (10) months. She timely made the down payment on July 1, 1998, six months before her 18th birthday. She further paid $400 a month for two months. On September1, 1998 Ronda entered a lease with Acme Rentals for shelter while at college. She paid all rent owed pursuant to the lease ($5400). On September 12, 1998, Ronda wrecked the car purchased from Richard and sustained injuries requiring her to return home. On September 13, 1998, Ronda returned the wrecked car to Richard and asked for the return of the money paid because she disaffirmed the contract. Furthermore, on the same day, she contacted Acme Rentals to disaffirm the lease contract. Both Richard and Acme rentals refused to refund money paid and refused to release Ronda from her contractual obligations.
