Rosenblum and Travis write in their article that entitlement suggests "The belief that one has the right to be respected, acknowledged, protected, and rewarded". Despite this right we all have in the world, why does racism, oppression and the abuse of power continue to exist? Society at large can be difficult to confront and create positive change. Working with diverse groups such as the LGBTQ+, individuals with disabilities, religious groups, children, etc., can present many challenges when a social work practitioner has little to no knowledge about the diverse groups she may work with.
