Roshan has bought a house in the country from Norah. He is a keen gardener, and he was attracted to the property by the beds of roses and other cultivated flowers that surrounded the house, and the handy garden shed at the back.
When he took up residence, however, he found to his surprise that Norah had dug up all the flowering plants and taken them with her. She had even removed some of the native trees surrounding the property. The garden shed was gone, too, leaving only the concrete plinth.
In the attic, Roshan found a collection of old gardening magazines. He sold the magazines on eBay. Two days later, Norah turned up at the house asking for them; she had forgotten them in the rush to vacate the property. When he told her he had sold them, she demanded the proceeds of sale.
Driving away from the house, Norah hit and killed a deer that had strayed on to Roshan's driveway. While he watched, aghast, she loaded the dead deer into her Range Rover and drove away. 'Plenty of venison for our suppers!' he heard her cry.
Advise Roshan.
