Ross and Jane decided to get away from NYC for a weekend. Prior to departing for upstate, Ross delivered his nonworking antique portable radio to Sals Radio & TV Repair and Sales, received a claim check and was told to pick it up in 10 days. Then, he and Jane stopped at the Queens Diner for lunch. She ordered a fried chicken sandwich and he ordered tuna on a roll. After the meals were served, Ross took a bite of his sandwich and felt a tooth crack. When he examined the food, he discovered a piece of metal in the tuna. When Jane took a bite of her sandwich, she felt an instant burn about her mouth and lips from a pocket of hot grease that emerged and suffered 2nd degree burn. TO make matters worse, they attended an auction upstate, bid the highest amount for a painting and the auctioneer declined to award them the painting since he claimed the auction was with reserve. They demanded the painting. After they returned home from their weekend away, they discovered the front door to their apartment ajar and a missing laptop, CD player and their collection of Justin Bieber CDs. When Ross went to retrieve his antique radio from Sals, he learned the store had inadvertently sold it. After a thorough investigation, Ross and Jane learned FRED had their laptop, SALLY had their CD player, BILL had their Bieber CDs and JOHN had their radio. They demanded that each of them return their property. All refused and insisted they were bona fide purchasers for value, with receipts that showed payment at reasonable market prices. FRED, SALLY and BILL showed receipts from The Church Thrift Shop and JOHN showed receipt from Sals. Ross and Jane consult you about their rights against the diner, the Auctioneer, FRED, SALLY, BILL, JOHN and Sals Radio & TV Repair and Sales. Discuss.
