Local administrators will be available in each department. They will only be allowed to reset and change user passwords, create and edit GPO objects and link existing GPO links. Desktop, software management and other policy settings will be managed from the ICT department. All the users will require a secure storage area. This space will be limited to 320 MB for Sales Department and 100MB for all other departments. The Sales department will require the use of the document viewer Microsoft word viewer and Acrobat Reader. All departments should get access to Microsoft Office 2013 which should be installed on all the computers at startup. The company would like to maintain uniform desktop settings. You are to ensure that users wont be able to change the desktop settings including the background wallpaper and the ability to add or delete things. Access to the control panel should also be restricted to all users except those in the administrators group. Due to a limited number of computers, users will have to share the available computers. Configure the server in such a way that users will be able to get their profile on whatever computer they log on to. Also ensure that log off has been added to the start menu to enable users to log off easily. Users should get a warm welcome screen when then log on and the last logged on username should not be displayed in the log on screen. Access to the standard windows games should be restricted. No one should also be allowed to use Windows Media Player. Users should use an alphanumeric password with a minimum length of 5 characters and the password should expire after 90 days. Users should also use 3 new passwords before they can reuse the same password. Configure Distributed File System (DFS) so that users can access the following folders easily from one location without navigating to each server in turn. You should also turn on auditing so that we can trace access and attempted access to the folders.
