Said has been working in Shah Alam for 3 years and has purchased a house there.Said was then promoted to a post In Tawau.Said sold his house in Shah Alam and stored his furniture with Jalil, who owns a warehouse which provides rental of storage space. Jalil also runs a business of buying and selling furniture.

Five months later, Said, having bought a house in Tawau, wrote to Jalil and instructed to ship his furniture from warehouse to his new address.Upon arrival of the furniture, Said discovered that a dining table, and an antique cupboard was not delivered.The items were valuable antiques which had been in his family for many generations.

Upon investigation, Said discovered that the dining table had been sold to Fatimah by Jalil at his regular monthly auction.Fatimah paid for RM3000 for the table. The antique cupboard had been given as a birthday present to Mila, his girlfriend.
