When presenting any type of persuasive proposal, always avoid using the following types of phrases: "I believe," "I feel," "In my opinion," and "I think." These phrases will weaken your proposal.5. Your written proposal must include the sections as shown on page 299 and your PowerPoint should cover what is on page 403-406. Refer to p. 407-411 for your oral presentation. 6. Remember that no matter what the purpose of your persuasive presentation--to get your audience to accept or adopt an idea, start or stop an action, avoid an action, or continue an action--the methodology is the same. You must decide if you are trying to influence beliefs, attitudes, values, or behavior. You must also decide if you should use a rational, emotional, or ethical appeal. 7. Don't forget who your target audience is. You must know their background, current knowledge, and position within the company. You don't want to lose them, but neither do you want to insult them. 8. You may record yourself giving your presentation OR utilize Zoom/Teams/another screen recording program and record your video as a screen recording with a voiceover. Either way, the key is to persuade the "board of directors" to accept your proposal, so the more professional, the better
