Just subtract one date from the other. Excel may aulomatically format the cell with the formula is it as a date, which means instead of seeing a mumber (29), yoa'll see a date ( 1.29/1900). If you want to know the number of months or years between two dates, the best way is to use the DATHDIFO function.
