Sam purchased a ticket to see his favourite band Food Fighters many months ago. On the day of the concert, he arrived early at the stadium venue so that he could get to his seat. An hour before the concert was to start, thousands of people were already seated and many more were coming in. When the band came onto stage an hour later, the crowd went wild. They all got up and started screaming and stomping the floor of seating area with their feet. Unfortunately, due to poor maintenance work carried out by the stadium owners, the portion of the seating where Sam and many others were sitting, collapsed. 50 people, including Sam, were injured in the process. It was later found that the collapse was mainly caused by the poor maintenance work carried out and also partly due to the crowd stomping the floor of the seating stand very harshly. Sam had to be hospitalized for a month and lost a month's earnings worth $8,000. He also incurred a medical bill of $10,000.
