Samantha, a well-known interior designer, is living with friends in Lincoln because her house in Christchurch City has been devastated by an earthquake. Samantha is homeless and job-less. Her hosts go away on a pre-arranged holiday for 3 weeks leaving Samantha in Lincoln. Samantha would like to repay her hosts so she redecorates their hallway (which needed some work). When the hosts come back they love the redecoration and offer to pay Samantha $1,000 for the redecoration. Samantha accepts the offer. The next day Samantha has a row with the hosts. The hosts now want her out of the house and refuse to pay $1,000 for the redecoration. Can Samantha enforce the agreement between her and her hosts?
