Sample size has a significant impact on hypothesis testing. To accurately collect data, the size of the sample must reflect enough information. "The conclusion that the research hypothesis is true is made if the sample data provide sufficient evidence to show that the null hypothesis can be rejected" (Anderson et al, 2021). Significant sample size helps to determine the quality of the samples being used to prove or disprove a hypothesis. "To make a conclusion from selected samples and results, alevel of significanceis to be determined, which enables a conclusion to be made about the null hypothesis" (Seth, 2021). This is important to determine if the hypothesis is disproven or not. An example of a sample size that I would use that could affect a business would be one that could provide incorrect data. If a business is looking to determine their yearly growth for the following year, but do not use a big enough sample size, such as only 4 months of the years data, then this would provide inaccurate data leave the hypothesis to fail.
