Imagine you are a case worker that is continuing to work with the Smith family. You got a call from Jane Smith in a panic stating Sara has been cutting herself and is afraid she wants to hurt herself, but Sara will not talk to her about it and stays locked in her room. She shares that Sara has recently become 'worse and barely eats or showers.' She then shares blood on the sleeves of one of Sara's shirts and when she asked Sara about it, she denied anything happened but saw blood on the shirt she was wearing. You set up a time to go the Smith home to talk to Sara and conduct a suicide assessment and crisis intervention.
