Bulbir sent his letter of acceptance at 3p.m. on the same day. Sardar later had a second thought and decided to revoke his offer. He tried to contact Bulbir by phone at 8 o'clock in the morning of 26th December 2018 but to no avail. On 27th December 2018, he went to Bulbit's house and informed him that he would like to revoke his offer. Bulbit's letter of acceptance reached Sardar on 29th December 2018. Sardar said that the letter of acceptance was void because he has already revoked his offer. Bulbir insists on buying the car and seeks your advice. Evaluate the legal position of Bulbir. [5 Marks] (b) Sharon saw an advertisement in a newspaper which referred to a 'special offer while stocks last' by 'Mari-Mari' a local supermarket of a reputable brand of laptops. The offer price was stated to be RM700 per unit. The usual price of such laptops was around RM950 per unit. Sharon rushed to the supermarket, chose one of the laptops and took it to the payment counter. The salesperson at the counter told her that the supermarket had increased the price of the laptop and the new price of the laptop was RM750. Sharon refused to buy the laptop at that price. She seeks your advice whether the supermarket is contractually bound to sell the laptop to her at the advertised price of RM700. Assess the legal position of Sharon.
