4.DEFAULT RATE:

If you are late making a payment, any introductory/special rates terminate and

required payment when due or if you exceed your account credit limit twice, your purchase APR will

be increased to 19.99%. If you fail three times to make a required payment when due or if you exceed

your account credit limit 3 times, your purchase APR and cash advance APR will be increased to

on the last business day of the month. Actual amount added will be

5.INTRODUCTORY/SPECIAL APRs:

You must return the Acceptance Form and be approved for an

account by January, 2019. If you request a balance transfer after this date, or we do not receive all

required information for the balance transfers requested, we will not make the balance transfers.

Please allow up to 4 weeks before payments to your other accounts are made. Accordingly, you

should continue to make all required payments until you confirm that the balance transfers were

made. Balance transfers may not be used to pay any other Explore Credit Card accounts. Balance

transfers do not earn a Cashback Bonus award. Balance transfer requests will be processed from the

lowest to the highest dollar amount. If a balance transfer transaction would cause you to exceed your

account credit limit, you authorize us to process your balance transfers for an amount less than the

full amount requested. Making additional transactions may still cause you to exceed your account

credit limit. You may only make balance transfers to accounts that list you as an account holder.

There is no grace period on balance transfers. Any introductory/special rates will terminate if you are

late making a payment or your account is over limit as disclosed in the Default Rate section above

and in the Cardmember Agreement.

6.PAYMENT ALLOCATION:

We apply payments and credits to balances with low

introductory/special APRS (such as special balance transfers and purchase APRs) prior to balances

with standard APRs. Therefore, your savings will be reduced by making additional transactions or

having balances that are subject to standard APRs. In addition, the length of time the

introductory/social APRs will apply to your account may be reduced by the amount of your payments.

7.APPLICATION INFORMATION:

Federal law requires that we obtain certain information about you

such as your date of birth and street address in order to verify your identity. This offer is non-

transferable. Changes to and Cardmember name or account number information will void this offer.

Even if you accept this offer, we may not extend

credit to you if, after you respond to this offer, we determine that you do not continue to meet the

criteria we used to select you or you do not meet any applicable criteria bearing on your

creditworthiness established prior to your selection, or if you omit any information requested. Even if

we do extend credit to you, the credit line and terms of the account will be based on a review of the

information you provide in this application, your current consumer report and any other information

bearing on your creditworthiness.

application. Upon your request, we will inform you of the name and address of each consumer

We are unable to place a "STOP PAYMENT" on a charge. In lieu of this, Explore and federal regulations extend billing

rights to cardholders for billing errors or questionable transactions. To preserve these billing rights, you must notify

Explore within sixty (60) days of the closing of the statement on which the error or problem first appeared.

If you have a problem with the quality of the property or service purchased with your credit card, you must make a good

faith attempt to resolve the dispute with the merchant. If you have not reached a resolution with the merchant, we strongly

recommend you provide us specific documentation from an expert or professional that supports your dispute regarding

the level of quality or misrepresentation described on the original receipt, invoice, work order, brochure, contract, and/or

appraisal. Such documentation will be used in our pursuit of a credit for any portion of the amount(s) in question.

Question

- Read section number 6 "Payment Allocation." Do you think that the average consumer

understands how their payments will be applied to their outstanding balance?

-Once you have entered into an agreement with Explore! for this credit card, can the bank amend

the agreement and INCREASE the annual percentage rate for this card?

-You do have a check to pay for your balance and that check is returned for insufficient funds. What

are the fees that the credit card will charge you for this event?

-Do you think that the application for the Explore Credit Card provides the consumer with an

adequate explanation of the terms and conditions of this contract?

-Why would a consumer want to take advantage of a debt "transfer service" associated with this

card?
