Scenario 3 -- Supplier and buyer friendship Sara just graduated from a respected college with a degree in supply chain management and obtained a procurement analyst position with a medium-sized privately-held firm. Her first assignment was to evaluate the company's packaging suppliers and make decisions on which suppliers to retain and which to let go. After using the performance evaluation methods she learned in her procurement courses, she found that one long-time supplier's metrics were far below what was considered acceptable. So she curtailed the relationship with that supplier. She soon learned that the supplier and the head of the company were long-time friends. She began to notice that she was treated in a less friendly manner by the head of the company and certain upper-level employees of the company. She felt uncomfortable and within a year found another job. Are there any ethical breaches here? Which, if any, of the ISM guidelines and principles could be violated? Would the codes of your respective organizations be able to address this situation
