Scenario A6: Management Meeting Video Seneca Context: See rubric; the following is a report that has reached you via email. Situation: Hello Project Manager, | hope this email finds you well. Unfortunately, | must disrupt your vacation because there have major developments since you left a few days ago, and they require your immediate attention. Following our division's protocol: we'll at least need a video message from you to the stakeholders, and an email with an updated task list to your team. Here's what has happened: 1. Song Lee, your Infrastructure Manager is indicating that the Test Application Server got ransomware on it and is unavailable for our testers and it is unknown how this could happen within our network and if other systems are at risk. 2. Anne Chovy, your Business Analyst, reported that: a. Saji Dubal, our Transition Manager has made a unilateral decision to stop communication with the worker's union representative. As a result, the union is threatening to pull their support for this project. Without the union, this project will abruptly end. b. Steve Heart, our Sales Manager distributed an earlier version of the system feature sheet to all the branches. From that, the sales representatives are promising our clients features that our system does not support. c. She also thinks that our Development Manager doesn't know what he's doing and should be replaced. 3. Grace Black, your Ways and Means Officer, indicates that she has established a great relationship with our network provider. This relationship gives us access to their web development, networking, and security resources should they be required. 4. Dennis Goldsmith, your Development Manager, indicates that: a. The Web Development Team operating from Turkey has completed their development 4 weeks ahead of schedule. b. He also had two members of his New York team develop a personality conflict with each other and both are threatening to leave the company. This will leave no staff to continue with the backend development. c. He also indicates that the Web Development Team in India is having trouble maintaining a stable network connection. The powerful monsoons are knocking out power to their municipality. This is causing them to fall behind in their development tasks. With all these issues, the new project sponsor is justifiably upset and confused, especially as they have their second steering committee appearance coming this week, and their first one without you present. Best regards, Juni Course: COM610 Assignment #6: Management Meeting Video Seneca Due: See Blackboard for due dates Total Value: 15 marks for 15% of your grade Late Penalty: 10%/day; not accepted after 3 days The Assignment: You have the scenario document that simulates a report that has reached you after coming spending a few days on vacation. The report specifies the challenges that your team has encountered in your absence and identifies the key issues and stakeholders. As you are in a place that has sporadic internet connectivity, you follow the division's protocol and decide to pre-record a (maximum 5 minute) video message that addressing your team members and your steering committee, regarding the issues in the scenario. The message is intended to be played by your delegate at their next project meeting and is viewed as your instructions to the team and assuring words to the steering committee that the project is still on-track. To be successful, your video message must successfully address all issues in the scenario document in a calm, decisive and professional manner, otherwise negative assumptions will be made about your leadership skills. The video is to address both, the steering committee as well as your team. Remember to use indirect or direct messaging as appropriate. Additionally, you must prepare an email with a task list for your team to deal with these issues. Every team member must receive at least 1 set of instructions, but no team member may receive more than 2. The email must follow our email writing style that we learned in this course. Use formatting, like headings, sub-headings, bullet points, font styes, etc., to make the email \"skimable\" and easy to read.
