Discuss the concerns of leadership in aligning healthcare IT through the strategic information systems planning (SISP) process. Patient data must be monitored rapidly and securely to avoid blackmail or breach of a patient's privacy. Standards are required to be always observed. That is, criteria must be met, and quality treatment must either exceed or match customer expectations. As a leader, protocols must be followed and aligned with the SISP process."The consistent data model assures structural and semantic consistency, simplifies integration, and facilitates data exchange across companies and apps" (Matgos., n.d.). Legal issues would be another source of concern. Leaders should be aware of unique risks that might cause damage or spark illegal conduct. Technology must be kept up to date, safe, and secure.It should only be accessible to authorized users. Inadequate password and patient data security may result in legal issues. Prioritizing the IS planning and review process is the first phase of SISP. The next stage is to conduct a situational analysis. The third stage is to consider other strategies. The fourth stage is to create or choose a plan. The final stage is to plan how the strategy will be implemented.
