Scenario

During the systems analysis phase, there comes a point in time where the development strategy must be decided. The preliminary investigation report was delivered during phase 1, systems planning, and it was determined that the project was feasible. During the systems analysis phase, facts have been gathered, documentation has been prepared, models have been created, data and process modeling has been conducted to provide a logical model of the system, and object modeling likely has been conducted to further understand the logical model. As shown in figure 4-2 in chapter 4 of the book, the last step in the systems analysis phase, after interaction between requirements modeling, data and process modeling, and object modeling, is to consider development strategies. Considering software development options includes consideration of outsourcing, in-house development, acquiring a software package, or any combination of the alternatives.Your company is continuing to work with ABC to implement the new system to process orders more quickly.ABC keeps up with all of its customers and the customer orders in a database and is working to complete the object modeling process before beginning the software acquisition process.

Instructions

1. One object that has been identified is the Customer object. Identify the attributes that would be included in the Customer object.
2. Identify the Methods for the Customer object.
3. Make up at least three instances of the Customer object.
4. Identify possible actors and use cases in ABC's functions.
5. Make a use case diagram for ABC.
6. Research to find three software alternatives the company should consider.Include the name of the software, the web site where you found the software information,the features of each software alternative.
7. Make an unweighted evaluation model table.
8. Make a weighted evaluation model table.
9. Describe the difference between the unweighted evaluation model and the weighted evaluation model.

Determine which model you think is the best evaluation model and provide the reasons for your choice.
