Scenario: Messy play

A parent of a child in the 3-5year old room asks you to keep her daughter clean. This includes not allowing her to join in with any art, craft or messy play such as sand, dirt, goop or clay. She tells you that the paint won't wash out of her child's clothes and messy play either stains her clothes or the child comes home with sand and dirt in her shoes. The parent complains that she can't afford to buy new clothes to replace the stained items and when people at the shops see her daughter dirty they think she is a bad mother.
