Scenario One

You are a school counselor attending a district administrative meeting with your colleagues. You are told that the superintendent of your district is ambivalent (at best) whether school based counseling is worth the investment of time and money, to say nothing of whether it is worth a child's missing instructional time. The Director of Counseling asks you to set up a study at your school to investigate whether or not the district is getting the bang for the buck regarding school based counseling. Specifically, she wants to know whether school based counseling improves a child's behavior or is it just another waste of resources.
