Financial Statements: A tool for evaluating performance of companies and investment decision.

Students may take up any company listed on MSX and do a critical analysis of quantitative (financial statements) and qualitative (MD&A) data of last 3 years and submit a case study writeup of not more than 2000 to 2500 words. th

The entire case study should be presented in a very cohesive way and there should be continuity in the flow of contents.

The case study should cover Introduction, Literature Review, Discussion, and a Conclusion. Any additional valid information can be included in addition to these major components.

This is an Individual Assignment Marking scheme:

A very brief overview of the company in your own words (Not more than 100 words)	1 mark
Quantitative analysis of the financial statements (Use of appropriate financial ratios and interpretation)	8 marks
Qualitative analysis of the financial statements (Management Discussion and analysis MD&A) (Use of appropriate models and interpretation)	8 marks
Critical and Analytical viewpoint in your own words (Analysis & Conclusion) (Not more than 800 words)	6 marks
Referencing Style (Research)	2 marks
Presentation with PPT	5 marks
TOTAL =	30 marks
