The Board of Directors for Swan Lake Regional Medical Center has requested a presentation about Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Healthcare at the upcoming board meeting. The members of the Board indicated they did not understand what is meant by AI, its relevance to healthcare, and if monies should be allocated in the upcoming budget toward implementing AI-based programs at the hospital or outlying clinical practices. They also wonder what drawbacks there might be to AI that would impact the organization in a negative way. You have been given this task by the Chief Information Officer, where you are a Healthcare Management Intern currently rotating through the Information Technology department. Your presentation can be in the form of a Business Report that you read to the Board of Directors, Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and Chief Information Officer, or it can be a PowerPoint presentation, or an Infographic. A copy of the presentation must be submitted to be included with the minutes of the board meeting.
