You are a director/supervisor of a Regulated Education and Care Service. You have been asked to identify the learning and development needs of your organisation. After speaking to management, you discovered they are really concerned about the disharmony and staff conflict occurring at the moment. This includes educators gossiping and complaining about each other in the staff room. Management have talked to staff but have been unsuccessful in resolving the issue. The quality improvement plan showed the need for staff training in cultural competence and sustainability as these were both areas highlighted in the latest centre rating assessment. Educators agreed they were having difficulty understanding cultural competence and would also like additional training on 'Nurturing Children's Creativity', in particular, through science and open-ended questioning.
