SCENARIO:You have just been assigned as a Warden over a prison where their Warden was fired and charged criminally for his involvement in a systemic corruptly led prison. Additionally, the State of NC just lost a huge civil lawsuit over several mis-justices surrounding ethical and legal issues with inmates. The prison is only 5 years old and has many of the technology advances regarding security. The prison is a medium security prison that houses only men. It has no solid services or programs for the prisoners. They were all removed with the previous Warden. Your strong ethical background and your innovative ideas at previous prisons has led the leadership of the Department of Safety to select you to make wide-spread changes to your new assigned prison. You have been given wide latitude to resolve the issues within the prison. They have given you 60 days to plan (which can include policies, procedures, training, extra staff, termination, etc....) to address the following horrendous issues:

• 10 inmates' deaths within the last 6 months due to lack of medical care
• Female correctional officers having sexual relationships with male prisoners
• Under staffing on evening and midnight which has led to 4 inmates' suicides being found on morning rounds by the day-shift officers
• 4 inmates were transferred to a trauma hospital for alleged excessive force by 2 identified correctional officers, who are still employed and currently working their shifts
• Previous Warden removed all faith-based treatment programs and religious services from the prison and several prisoners have threaten legal actions if not reinstated
